We had lunch in a 'bandstand' in the Kutsifou gorge in the middle of the car park, which sheltered us from the heat of the day.

We walked along the beech towards the cliffs past the Greeks with their families to the area for the nudists - heavily patronized by conker brown Germans.   We considered skinny dipping, but not having a towel decided against it.

Daphne gnidioides

We scrambled up the hillside in the Kourtaleotiko Gorge and found the biarum unfortunately I could not get a good photograph, but included it anyway.   The Sternbergias were growing in the rocks all down the sides of the gorge.
